F8 reaction

 Upon watching the F8 conference
Building technology such as the Facebook airplane, gear VR and augmented reality and artificial intelligence.
As a strong supporter of net neutrality, I like the idea of a marketplace of ideas that Facebook will become a platform that gives the people power to share anything they want to with anyone. However the issues of ethical standards and credibility rise up as one of my main concerns. We each have a voice that we can share, it's only when some voices become louder than others, "group think" may lead people astray.

With the hopes to HELP solve the world problems.  I don't think naive is the right term, I think these intentions are good, however reading between the lines what may seem good, and power is corruptible. I think that we as humans judge ourselves by good intentions however it is our actions that truly speak for us. There are many generalizations in the speech about helping the world that seems to be stretched out; there are many contradictions; reading between the lines I am very skeptical about it.

I like to think I'm an optimist, however it takes more than good efforts, but I personally look to the leader of the pack to determine how I perceive the group's credibility. Zuckerburg describes his vision to "bring people together" and that we must connect to make progress. Messenger will now have ways to simply message business or news sources for information. It seems very biased to me since that allows an algorithm to figure out what kind of news is important to you and simply cater only to that.

Free services, well there is no such thing as free, in fact it seems all too good to be true, to have free education tools and free medical information. I think that this free information will have an underlying cost to the reader. Net neutrality is important however this free vs. non free services makes me think that only some things are free and not others, therefore Zuckerburg focuses mainly on the free services.

In the topic about Artificial intelligence, to claim that if a computer can detect whether or not a person's skin lesion will lead to skin cancer, and jump over to say it will help save lives. Yes, there is prevention due to early detection, however just as humans make mistakes, the machines we create will also make mistakes. He continued that AI will develop perception, which I think is important, but did not go into further detail to what extent that would be. Emotions? Feeling? Morals?
On the topic of Virtual reality and augmented reality, when used in moderation it is not a bad idea. However, I find it extremely ironic how using these services will bring people together. When used to the extreme it can be toxic.

Overall I think the visions are with good intention however we need to think for ourselves and use digression, to read between the lines and contradictions. As well as acknowledge that there is a lack of checks and balances for executing these points.

HERE I AM

Life throws unexpected obstacles at you. Situations where you want to leave, and situations where you want to stay. It's about a balance bewteen holding on and letting go.

My Life right now is all about failing in the right direction. Failure is essentially the seed that becomes success. It just tkaes time to germinate, time to absorb the water, to take the lessons that is the nutrients from the soil before it can truly grow.
Like the seed breaking out of the shell, it must get out of it's comfort zone. Out of the darkness and dirt and into the light and fresh open air. Only then can it become it's true potential.

Traveling near and far.

If you could create your life so far into a movie what would you name it?
I suppose I would name my movie "Caught in the Middle" as my life was caught in between what I thought I wanted (because it was expected of me) and what I know I need. The distinction was only clear when I finally decided to take a leap of faith and leave everything to God, and just live my life day by day with my goal in mind. That Goal is what I am currently working on. As "the director" of my movie, I call the movie of my life "Haidy: The Journey of a Songbird". This movie is playing right and fortunately for me, there are no retakes of the scenes, simply new scenes.

I'm a big believer in being yourself and simply discovering and learning about the world.
I am learning that what we see in the world is a reflection of ourselves, and by reflecting and knowing my self more each and everyday I am constantly growing my perspective of the world.

Being yourself is no easy feat. It is an unconditional love and acceptance of who you are right now. As we grow and develop our core values that make up who we are, I realized that by accepting myself I have also come to accept others. This open mentality is what helped me learn about other people and their cultures, languages, and personalities. As I embark on a journey that is 'near' (I am based in Orlando) and I plan for new adventures in a "far" away place, (A European Excursion)
This kind of journey is not possible without being present in the moment right now.

Traveling in time and space. I think there are five good reasns traveling will make you a good person. Especially in Italy, where you can learn to thrive in a new chaotic realm, admire the simple things, focus on the people around you now, and constantly try new things.

Howling wind

As I write this post, I listen to a man who can imitate the sounds of nature, from a bird to bugs and the wind howling by, to an operatic singer to a foreign tongue that still surrounds me and brings me to a whole new place. It's fascinating what the human mind can do, let alone the human voice. I'ts quite impressive.

Watch this man sing nature

I invite you to watch this because it  demonstrates how moving and amazing music is to allow one to travel to a paradise in a forest yet you are still in your seat. This is the kind of feeling I hope to create when I write songs. To surround a person in a song of love and hope, songs that empower.
On a side note, I do wonder what is the language he is singing and if there is an overall message in his song. His music is like a fantasy land that encompasses the mind into believe that it's somewhere familiar yet foreign. Also what subliminal messages is he sharing, if there is one. Looking at the audience they all look like they are in a powerful trance, of awe, amazement, or are they being immersed in his music.

Songs that take you to a a new place is something of the psychedelic, yet this is different, the songs is something out of a meditation spa.

To singer  songs like this would be incredible.

Believe in yourself

Hello World

We have to trust in the Purpose that is given to us in our hearts. There are moments in life when you stop and pause. Take a moment to think about the paradox in life. A quote that made me wonder in regards to the paradox was "this paradox what makes journalism interesting." Journalism is the way we search for the truth, by obtaining viewpoints, presenting the stories from both sides and allowing for the reader to make an informed decision. However "there is so much knowledge in the world" because the internet makes information so easily accessible, yet "there is less judgement", the irony in gaining knowledge is to not judge in the sense that information is present, yet the idea behind the information does not need to be accepted, but simply entertained. Nor does The information of ideas need to be judged but accepted as an event occurring. It becomes a cycle of thoughts that need to be sorted out, yet sorting them out is the paradox. Take for instance, there is an article in regards to mind over matter and how it is possible for the mind to heal itself if it believes it can be healed. The mind may understand that it is not in the best form, shape, health, or condition, but once the mind chooses to believe it will get better, is it also a disillusion that they are in good health. Can one simply lie to them selves that they are good in order to heal, or simply have this unconditional faith that they will get better, because they choose to become better. Another paradox The present is made up of the past and the future, and the past and the future are in the present. It makes sense in the nonsensical way. This leads to the idea that we can also develop ourselves. Sometimes we can "fake it til we make it" and create change, anything to pushes us beyond the boundaries of our perceptions. In order to fix a problem we first must let go of the mindset we were in in order for us to find a solution. This for me means we can believe in ourselves, by trusting in a higher being, way beyond us. For me that is God. I believe in God, and I also believe in me as his Child of God that I am capable of doing more in life if I only believe in his way for me.

Building your Tribe

As they say you are the some of your friends and analyze things about them and their personality characteristic traits income occupation as well as their perspective and outlook in life.  All these subconsciously make up who you are as birds of a feather rock together it is important to find the right people who you can help and Who can help you.
It’s important to build a network people in your industry and people outside of the commission network where the people are more inclined to serving and helping each other instead of seeking the instant self-gratification through the number of followers. I would say that numbers are important but It is quality of the tribe than it is quantity. The focus of building the tribe of people is to expand your horizons by learning from people who you admire, and aspire to become in similar characteristics.  People who will help you. Advertise your craft and people who are meant to be in your life are will come into your life and help you on your journey. Your network is priceless, and it is imperative to start building your tribe and connecting with them even more through emailing lists and utilizing Search engine optimization techniques. I think that it is important to share information and knowledge on a more personal level.

Challenges and change

The one constant in life is change. Every change in our life is a challenge, to be better, to learn, to grow, and most of all to adapt for survival. Change makes us push harder, and go farther beyond our comfort zone.

To go beyond the comfort zone is to experience a sense of two colliding forces, the fear that holds us back, and the courage to free ourselves from our fears. Sometimes we have to take risks and face our challenges head on. No matter the outcome, there is nothing to lose when you can win, learn, or both. Life is simple when you learn to simplify life. This starts with trusting yourself and listening to your intuition.

The human intuition is something that makes us different, some learn to listen to it more than others, and others have learned to avoid listening to it, out of being practical. Being intune with your intuition is like being able to guide yourself into the life you wish to create. As a creative, we must simply create, media content from art to music, to blog posts to podcasts, live production to recorded productions. The simple fact of being able to create anything out of our imagination is powerful as your will to succeed. If you can imagine it, you can create it. Whatever you expect to happen is possible.
